New free Drupal Theme mockup
One of the things in my 2010 resolution lost is designing my very first unique Drupal Theme for the Drupal community.
In one of my post I was pointing out the problem with design solutions in Drupal themes. Most of the apealing (I won’t say good) designes are importem from Wordpress themes. That is strange, because Wordpress has nothing to do with Drupal. With WP you build blogs, with Drupal you build multiuser sites.
With this in mind I try to design a Theme that could be used as a Drupal Theme with its full potential.
Mockup for my first free Drupal Theme
I know that this simple sketch does not show anything, but it helps me to design the structure.
Some thing I would like to achive:
- multi region support with designed place-holders,
- customized regions – content will fill the disabled region space,
- colour customization ,
- documentation on how to use this theme.
I am planing to publish this theme for D6 in a month or so and then for Drupal 7.
